the 10-day holiday that changed our lives

Cost Rica, December 2021. Playa Potrero:

The sun is starting to set and the most magical show is about to play out before our eyes, the sky is a burning orange hue, I hear the seemingly ferocious roar of howler monkeys in the trees behind my back, all manner of birds swirl and dance through the melting sky, the pelicans dive with the speed and accuracy of a fighter jet, fishermen catch huge fighting fish for their evening meal. Its intese, life is happening all around me and i feel so alive, full to the brim with joy and gratitude. This is la "Pura Vida" lifestyle I had heard so much about. I realised I havent felt like that in a veeery long time. All I wanted was to keep travelling and feeling this gratitude and aliveness.

"Why can't we live like this forever?" I ask Marco. This is the moment our lives changed and we started to imagine what if?

Since that one evening our lives changed forever, every ounce of energy we had went into making this vision, a reality.

We were restricted by our 9-5 having the life sucked out of us everyday, simply losing all motivation to do anything in the evenings apart from eating and netflix.
We never found the time to pursue our passions, (photography and travel)
Living paycheck to paycheck never making enough money that would grant us a life we even remotely dreamed of.
